WHAT ABOUT
OUR CHILDREN?

Christian education has changed dramatically over past generations. We have reinvented our classes to engage our youth. See our innovative programs below.

We welcome your questions! Please call the church office at  631-754-4422 or e-mail the Ministry Coordinator by clicking here for information.

  • THE PORT THE PLACE FOR ALL OF OUR YOUTH PROGRAms

Our programs are based on stories. Are they old stories? Yes! But they're important ones.

Life is kind of like a string of stories  - - with each of us creating our own unique ones. We hope these stories enhance a good day, make bearable a tough day and help bring peace and calm to every day.

You are welcome to join us without any commitment by simply coming to a class at its offered time.

  • jump in

This program is for children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 4th grade. All ages meet together. Different people guide the stories throughout the year. When the story changes, the setting changes. There's a game or experiment every week. There are voices singing and instruments playing! Classes meet Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

  • Sail

This is our First Communion program for children in 5th grade.

FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS attend Jump in for the fall and transition into Sail classes in the early winter. Then, they'll begin to prepare for FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES that consist of four sessions, once a week over four weeks.

    Please attend all sessions.

Please make sure you fill out the "SAIL" registration form on our website!

  • Navigate

Here at St. Paul’s, Confirmation (also known as Affirmation of Baptism) is a three-year program for

students in 6-8th grades. It is a time when young people declare for themselves that they will live out the

promises made for them by their parents at their baptism. During these years, our young people study both the old and new testament, as well as Lutheran doctrine. Through lessons, and most importantly

discussion, we seek for our youth to discover value and purpose in their own lives as intended by God,

    and revealed in scripture.

Currently, we have 28 students enrolled in our Navigate program. Recognizing the need for flexibility,

our students have the choice of attending class on either Wednesday evening after the 7:00 service or

Sunday morning at 11:30 (after our 10:30 service). We are blessed to share the love of Christ with our youth and trust that these years will help them navigate life as we face it today. These youth are the future of St. Paul’s as well as the larger Lutheran church.
